DOP Consortium

DOP Buffalo milk Mozzarella from Campania is a fresh “pasta filata” cheese, produced exclusively with buffalo milk from the area of origin and created with a technological process that is fully compliant with production regulations.

The inscription in the community register for Protected Designation of Origin products (DOP) in 1996 marked the institutional recognition of the organoleptic and production characteristics of the typical Buffalo milk Mozzarella from Campania, mostly deriving from environmental conditions and traditional treatment methods of the delimited production area.
